Ingredients

  • Fish fillets (Kingfish or Pomfret)
  • Coconut oil
  • Ginger (julienned)
  • Garlic (sliced)
  • Green chilies (slit)
  • Onion (sliced)
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric powder
  • Thin coconut milk
  • Thick coconut milk
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté ginger, garlic, green chilies, onion, and curry leaves in coconut oil.
  2. 2Add turmeric powder; cook for a minute.
  3. 3Pour in thin coconut milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. 4Add fish fillets and cook until fish is done.
  5. 5Gently stir in thick coconut milk; do not boil.
  6. 6Season with salt and serve hot with rice or appam.
