Bajra Roti with Sabzi recipe — authentic Indian dish from Masala Spin

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bajra (pearl millet) flour
  • Warm water, salt to knead
  • 2 cups seasonal mixed vegetables, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1Knead bajra flour with warm water and salt into a soft dough.
  2. 2Roll thin bhakris and cook on hot tawa with light pressure till edges lift.
  3. 3For sabzi: dry-roast cumin, add onion with splash of water, cook till soft.
  4. 4Add tomato and cook till it breaks down.
  5. 5Add vegetables, turmeric, coriander powder, salt; cook covered 8 minutes.
  6. 6Serve bajra roti hot alongside the sabzi.
