Thalipeeth Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup Thalipeeth bhajan (mixed flour - jowar, bajra, rice, wheat, besan)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
- Warm water for kneading
Instructions
- Combine Thalipeeth bhajan, chopped onion, green chilli, coriander, cumin powder, turmeric, sesame seeds, and salt in a bowl.
- Gradually add warm water and knead into a soft, pliable dough.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and flatten each on a greased banana leaf or parchment paper.
- Make a small hole in the center of each thalipeeth for even cooking.
- Heat a griddle (tava) and drizzle oil. Carefully transfer the thalipeeth onto the hot griddle.
- Cook on medium heat, adding more oil around the edges and into the hole, until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
- Serve hot with curd, pickle, or green chutney.
