Poi Bhaji recipe — authentic Goa Indian dish from Masala Spin

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and diced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Goan garam masala
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. 2Add curry leaves, green chilies, and chopped onion; sauté until translucent.
  3. 3Stir in turmeric powder and Goan garam masala, cook for 30 seconds.
  4. 4Add diced boiled potatoes and salt, mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with Goan Poi bread.
