Meen Fry recipe — authentic Kerala Indian dish from Masala Spin

Ingredients

  • Fish steaks (Kingfish/Pomfret)
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Black pepper powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Curry leaves
  • Coconut oil for frying
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Combine ginger-garlic paste, chili, turmeric, pepper, lemon juice, and salt to form a marinade.
  2. 2Apply the marinade evenly on both sides of the fish steaks; marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. 3Heat coconut oil in a shallow pan until hot.
  4. 4Carefully place marinated fish in the hot oil along with a few curry leaves.
  5. 5Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping once. Serve hot.
