Kerala Mutton Fry recipe — authentic Kerala Indian dish from Masala Spin

Ingredients

  • Mutton pieces
  • Coconut oil
  • Onion
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Green chilies
  • Curry leaves
  • Black pepper powder
  • Roasted spice mix (chili, coriander, turmeric)
  • Garam masala
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Pressure cook mutton with a little ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, and salt until tender.
  2. 2Heat coconut oil in a pan; sauté onion, remaining ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and curry leaves.
  3. 3Add roasted spice mix, black pepper, and garam masala; cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. 4Add cooked mutton pieces (draining excess water if any) and sauté well.
  5. 5Continue to fry on medium heat until mutton is well-roasted and dry.
  6. 6Garnish with fresh curry leaves and serve hot.
