Fish Cutlet Recipe

Ingredients
- 200g flaked cooked fish (mackerel or tuna)
- 1 large boiled and mashed potato
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic-green chili paste
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
- Goan spice blend (turmeric & garam masala)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine flaked fish, mashed potato, chopped onion, ginger-garlic-green chili paste, coriander, Goan spice blend, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix well until a cohesive mixture forms.
- Divide the mixture into small portions and shape into flat, round or oval cutlets.
- Dip each cutlet into the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to medium-high heat.
- Carefully fry the cutlets in batches until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
- Serve hot with Goan tomato sauce or green chutney.
