Bombil Fry Recipe

Ingredients
- 250g Bombil (Bombay Duck) fish, cleaned
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 1/4 cup fine semolina (rava)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for shallow frying
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Clean and wash Bombil fish thoroughly. Gently squeeze out excess water. Pat dry.
- Marinate the fish with ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt for 15 minutes.
- Mix rice flour and semolina in a plate.
- Dredge each marinated fish piece in the flour mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a shallow pan. Place the coated fish gently into the hot oil.
- Shallow fry on medium heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
